Donde Jose

Donde José is a high-end restaurant in Panama offering a tasting menu that sparks deep conversations about Panamanian culture, identity, and memory. Each dish is an invitation to explore the country’s history, flavors, and storytelling traditions.

Given that the menu evolves constantly, we created a custom-designed book to capture the enduring essence of the brand—the spirit of Panama and its people. The physical menu becomes a bookmark, delicately tucked inside, making every visit a unique chapter in a larger narrative.

The design reflects the restaurant’s core identity: authentic, bold, and proudly Panamanian. Through a rich mix of collage, illustration, and text, we celebrate the cultural depth of the isthmus in a format that feels both intimate and iconic.

The book features a handcrafted logo on the cover and an artisanal approach to assembly and finishing, all done by hand—echoing the care and intention behind every dish served at Donde José.

This project was honored as an official selection at the 2020 Madrid Design Biennial.
